Suggestions to learn all about GrapheneOS and "Pixel" phones?

I just purchased a new, Pixel 8 and installed GrapheneOS! I have used my former Pixel 4a5G (which I also installed GrapheneOS on) for a few years.

While I have used the phone for a few years, I must confess I have used only the most basic features. I would like to learn more about all of the things that both the phone is capable of and the features that are built into GrapheneOS, i.e., tips, tricks, etc.?

Are there any "tutorials" (i.e., YouTube, etc.), written material, etc., to help me learn both?

I welcome your suggestions!

Besides looking through the Features and Usage sections of the website, you can take a look through Side of Burrito's GrapheneOS playlist. Just as long as you're keeping in mind that some information obviously may be outdated, and to pay more attention to newer info.

For me one issue with many of these videos is that they just tell people what to do without reference to personal goals or tradeoffs.

For example, that video directs everybody to set "Notify for public networks" to "Off", without saying why. This is after suggesting that people set Wi-Fi to automatically disable, so if the device were to detect and offer a public Wi-Fi network it would almost certainly be doing that because the user had just manually turned Wi-Fi on. It seems at least faintly plausible that the user would have turned Wi-Fi on hoping to connect to a public network, but the user won't be prompted because of this setting change, likely made days or months ago and forgotten.

What is the downside of that notification? Since a randomized MAC was used during Wi-Fi scanning, and a randomized MAC will be used to connect, and the user will be prompted before the connection... exactly what threat is being addressed?

de0u I reckon I already knew what those settings do and also agreed on most of the choices made, so I wasn't very critical about the educational value.

de0u I don't think that makes much sense. If the user enabled Wi-Fi manually in order to look for a public network to connect to, they don't need that notification, because it's far more plausible that they'll already go to the list of active Wi-Fi networks and pick the (public) network there.
