I use a Pixel 8a with GrapheneOS and Android 15. To be able to use the Google Camera without connecting to Google, I have installed the Gcam app in the main profile: https://f-droid.org/en/packages/de.lukaspieper.gcam.services/
Now I have created a private space specifically for google apps. To do this, I want to install the sandboxed Google Play services from the Graphene Appstore. However, this is not possible. I get the error message:
Installation failed. Unable to install Google Play Store, Google Play Services: package conflictswith another package that ist already installed on this device.
Details: INSTALL_FAILED_CON FLICTING_PROVIDER: Scanning Failed.: Can't install because provider name com.google.android.gsf.gservices (in package com.google.android.gms) is already used by de.lukaspieper.gcam.services
I get this message even though I have installed the Gcam app in the main profile (user profile) and not in the private space.
When I try to create the sandboxed Google Play services in a work profile, I get the same error message.
The app or a service of the app apparently works across all profiles.
I thought the profiles were running separately.
Is this a bug or have I done something wrong?
