Pixel watch working with watch app and Play services inside another profile?

Hi all,

I was wondering if the following setup would work with a Pixel watch:

Owner profile without play services
Secondary user with play services and watch app

If I setup the watch inside the secondary profile and let's say I have Signal on my owner (and the watch is connected in Bluetooth), will the notification from Signal be forwarded to the watch which is in a non play services profile?

I had success with this method, however the initial setup took a couple of tries.

However in the end my tinfoil hat kicked into gear and I decided to stop using the watch due to the privacy concern I have around the wearable space.

Wadder I'm on day 4 of banging my head against a wall. Private space is my preferred but also tried a 2nd profile. It'll pair and fail. I've given it all the permissions I could think of. BT, location, pixel watch app, a bunch of other permissions, what else?
