Hello.

I can't successfully use the inbuilt camera app on my banking app (Sparda) and a health bill scanning app to read QR codes. I only have Graphene's stock camera. It scans QR codes alright, but not in these apps.

Is there a way to use, say, GCAM and tell the apps to use that instead? Or is it a problem with the camera hardware on my Pixel tablet? Like bad focussing abilities or resolution?

DeletedUser5 it's possible these apps rely on some proprietary Google libraries to function correctly. Do you have Google Play Services installed in the same profile as these apps?

DeletedUser5 okay, one thing you can try is enabling all codecs in the QR section of the camera app (go to QR Scan, in the upper right corner is a 'more options', tick all the boxes). I'm not sure if that will help honestly, but it's a possibility the QR codes from your apps use a non-standard codec.

Somewhat related: depending on how the QR scanning is implemented, the UX can be very poor, see this GH issue that I opened in December 2023 for the Auditor app.
