Graphene OS - System updates - please don't do it during the night!

It would be nice to deactivate system updates during the night. My phone is not in silent mode, when I sleep ;-)

Reinhard I'd like to postpone the updates too. But there are probably many many things on graphene todo list.

I have auto reboot off after update but during the week I dont want to experiment with brand new android version. I am now carrying the cell phone with notification "android 15 installed, reboot now". But it is already in some weird state that alarm clock did not trigger today morning. I'll resolve it on saturday, or friday evening when there is quiet time. I cannot be unreachable during the week

Well, there's your problem ;-)

Joke aside, I would suggest trying out the DND feature. It quite configurable to let certain notifications through, e.g. if you do not want to be bothered by general App sounds, but want to get woken up from your family, or even all of your contacts.

andrej567 there's nothing experimental with the Android 15 release in stable. It went through multiple rounds of testing through the alpha and beta channels with bugs found and fixed and again and again before reaching stable.

A setting, where you can deactivate system updates during the night...or where you can deactivate the sound during the night (just for system updates)...would be great!

You can change the Updater app's notification settings to give you silent notifications on all or some of the notifications.

soupslurpr true true, I am a developer myself and know its impossible to test all configurations. On a weekday evening i am usually quite tired to start testing if all apps I have still work.

As long as the update is downloaded, installed and validated, nothing serious will happen.
You can then press "reboot" whenever you want.

Or am I wrong?

Reinhard I see, I don't think it's necessary if you check notifications every day since you'd still see the update notification if you just set it to be silent but still appear.

flighty_sloth you can hold on a notification, tap on the settings icon, and that should get you to the notification section of app info for that app.
