No HD quality during phone calls, downgrading to 3G

Hi GrapheneOS team,

Noticed that after updating to android 15 on a Pixel 7 the phone calls audio quality dropped dramatically
When making calls the data will quickly switch automatically from 5G+ to 4G and eventually settle on 3G or H+
Will stay there for the duration of the call and switch back to 5G right after

Turned on/off the VOLTE and Wi-Fi calling settings but didn't made a difference
If the network is force on "LTE only" option, the phone calls won't initiate or get thru
My network provider is Rogers , Canada

Please let me know if a fix is available
Otherwise, can you please add it to the bugs list and have a look when you get the chance?

That is odd.

Is this true even if you go to a different area (5+ miles away)? Has the device been rebooted?

Hi,

Yes, did that - restarted few times. Last time today cause and updated came in. The issue is still there
My work is 15km away, the phone behaves the same
The APN is set on the carrier's default. Looked inside, nothing suspicious

Hi, this morning the calls started to go HD again
No update or restart was performed, I can only suspect a network issue on the carrier side
