Default Apps, 2 questions

1) In a dialog, "App was denied access to be default *** app",
there is (apparently) a link "Learn how to allow access",
but pressing the link doesn't do anything.
Can anyone suggest why it doesn't respond or, if not,
where it should go, so I can manually view it?

2) Once I selected Files as the "always" image viewer for GIF,
I discovered it can't produce a moving GIF, and I can't find a way to set this back to a proper GIF viewer.
An "always" choice won't present itself in Files or Material Files anymore,
and I don't see a "file association" place in Settings" where I could change it back.

treehugger25 pixeldust99 Sorry, I don't really understand what the issue is with #1, but with #2, you can clear that by going to Settings > Apps > All apps > *the default app you want to clear* > Open by default > Clear default preferences.

other8026 The issue is that there isn't a way to make the desired app the default app for the specific behavior. In my case, I can't make the app the default SMS app, and the link to "learn how to allow access" does nothing.
