Automatic and quick bluetooth paring

Hi There,

When activating bluetooth, my first gen AirProd Pro do not automatically pair. I have to select them manually from the BT list.

Do someone use the new Samsung Buds3 Pro together with GrapheneOS ?
If so, how is the pairing experience (is it automatic)?

blackrose that's some odd behavior. My AirPods Pro (2) connect automatically once I open the case, no matter if Bluetooth was turned off before. In that case, I think there's no guarantee that the Galaxy Buds will perform any better... do you possibly have the AirPods paired to other devices?

I indeed pair them occasionally with my professional device (iOS), but I don't see why this would cause such behavior in GOS...

Any recommendation of high end earbuds that work well with GOS devices ?

I use three different bluetooth audio devices. Automatic pairing works just fine after the initial pairing and if the device has not been paired with another host in the meantime. I cannot speak for the AirPods pro or the Samsung stuff, though.

In my experience all work well. The pairing issues you describe probably stem from the pairing with other (iOS) devices. When you pair your Pods to your iphone they seemlesly connect to other iOS devices but that is very different.

blackrose yeah, there's your problem. The AirPods will start to connect to Apple devices first, it's part of the firmware (especially needed for seamless switching between Apple devices). You shouldn't have problems if you remove them from your Apple account and keep them unpaired from iOS. That's what works so well for me I guess, I don't have them paired with my MacBook for example.
