app count totally wrong

It depends on how one counts... some things don't show up in the launcher (such as the launcher itself , but also keyboards), so there will be a mismatch if one counts things visible in the launcher and compares against the app count in Settings.

My Settings app reports 28 apps but shows me a list of 29; only 17 show up in the launcher.

prompter You probably have private space set up. The apps inside private space are being count even though they are duplicates.

please note that I'm not talking about the apps in the launcher but the all list in settings, it says "see all 49 apps" and after tapping and counting by hand there's a total of 36, not 49.

thanks, but 1 app difference like in your case is different to 13 for me. plus, the launcher is listed under user apps, and there are 36 user apps installed, i wanna know what those 13 additional apps are and why the system comes up with this number.
