I'd like to switch to using "Owner" as my main/daily profile. What are security drawbacks of this kind of setup? Are there any good practices to mitigate those? For example is there a way to additionally lock SIM management? Or prevent selected apps from using Play Services?
I've been separating Owner profile since I'm using GrapheneOS - couple of year now. I'm giving up using secondary profile as a main one for those reasons:
- switching profiles is too slow, and closing a secondary profile (I use additional ones from time to time) goes back to Owner first
- can't enable WiFi hostspot
- can't use USB-tethering at all
- can't share WiFi password with someone
- can't use my government's id app
- caller-id (spam preventing) apps don't work
All of the above force me to switch to Owner back and forth to many times during a day, I'm giving up.
