Transfer Data just from cloud. How?

Hello,

i bought a Pixel 8 and want to use Graphene OS.
I found the guide on the Graphene OS website and will follow it.

My last phone (Huawei P30) doesn't work anymore. I had all my data synced and backed up to google drive.
Is there a good way to get my data from Google Drive to Graphene OS. I need my contacts, Photos, call history, authentificator.
I'm a noob considering Graphene OS and have no idea how it works. But at the same time, I want to do something for my privacy.

I appreciate your help.

PetroK If your old phone was backing everything up to Google Drive, then maybe your best bet would be to restore the backup to your new phone with the stock Pixel OS. After that, you'll need to back things up manually, flash GrapheneOS, then restore manually.

I wonder how much of it he could just do on a computer, maybe all? Seems like an extra step to restore it to a phone and back up again

PetroK no specific program. For SMS and MMS there's a bunch of apps (FOSS as well as proprietary), photos, videos and music files can just be copied over USB, Signal can perform backups to local storage, WhatsApp can do the same if you use that. Contacts can be exported as a .vcf file and same for calendars. Most other apps? Depends. So you need to find out what you want to back up, can back up and then start the process manually. Involves a little bit of work but for my specific use case I can save everything I need, so chances are - you can too!

I need my contacts, call history and the authentificator. Everything else is of secondary importance. Photos and other data is easy to transfer.
I will search for good apps, that can backup everything to my pc.

rellhom I personally just use a USB drive and move stuff using that. I didn't use my computer to move files at all when I got a new phone so I'm not sure if that would make it easier or not.
