Signal wants me to check captcha

I'm new to GOS. Outside of F-Droid and Aurora Store, I have not installed any apps. I'd like to install Signal but it's asking me for a captcha. I'm not really keen on that and am surprised that is being used. Is that normal or is there a way around that? I'd like to keep the phone as private as possible.

I just learned about Molly FOSS (Signal fork). Seems like that might be a better choice.

Normal. Occurs more often if tunneling through VPN and/or Tor. Molly is no different in this regard.
