Hi,
I recently installed an app 'Private Lock', which came to my radar cause of a mention of a member here.
It functions as a an app which forces pin entry if your phones accelerometer registers a value above the one set in the app. This comes in handy if your phone got snatched for example.
However, the app it's targetSDK is 29, and i remember reading somewhere it is advisable not to install apps who target below api 32/33.
The app in question, has to be given admin rights to the device to function.
The app functions as it should, works great actually.
I've tried to do a little reseach on this matter and read somewhere that the sandbox of apps who target lower api, isn't as strong, is this correct?
In this case, given i have to give this app admin acces, and works across all profiles if installed in owner profile, i wonder if i did lower the security of my device in any way?
Would someone more knowledgable in the android space be so kind to explain this to me?
Thanks in advance!
