User profiles and phone calls

So with a multi profile setup, say with an Owner, a Home profile and Work one, presumably calls can come in and be made from each?

However there will be no sharing of contacts, messages or Signal messages without explicitly setting everything up on all profiles?

So in the real world therefore isn't this a big disadvantage of setting up the phone this way - going to work and using that profile with apps meanwhile not having calls and messages with a consolidated history and callerID etc?

Am I missing something here?

You are correct that profiles that are allowed access to sms and calls will share that data with owner. If i make a call from a secondary profile, owner can see outgoing calls. I don't use sms, but maybe those are shared too.

If you want to sync contacts, you can use something like Nextcloud or Gmail to sync contacts across profiles.
