If I have two eSIMs, or one SIM and one eSIM, I'd like to independently control when each one talks to the cell phone towers.
I'd like to have one cell account that I use only for mobile data when I'm not near WiFi. This account I'd never give out the phone number, and never make or receive calls/texts. So, the number can't show up in any data breaches, unless the carrier itself gets breached.
The second number I'd use in the usual way, but almost entirely using WiFi calling/texting. There are a few places where that doesn't work well, so I'd have to turn on service on occasion, but rarely.
So is it possible to turn airplane mode on and off independently for the two different phone numbers? If not, does deactivating an eSIM in settings still allow it to use WiFi calling/texting?
