I recently switched from Lineage to Graphene and am quite happy with this decision. However, as always with such changes, there are some peculiarities that take some getting used to. However, as a newcomer, I may just lack the knowledge to find the right settings. I'll therefore list some wishes and questions here. If anyone knows of any solutions, I would be grateful for any tips.

1 USB behavior when plugged to a computer
When I connect my cell phone to the computer, I usually want to transfer data. Under Lineage, there was a setting for "default USB behavior" that automatically activated the data transfer when plugged in, so that the phone was immediately visible in the file browser. I cannot find such a setting in Graphene. Is such an option possibly not available for security reasons or have I just overlooked it?
If the setting really has to be made manually each time, is there a way (e.g. via a link on the Home Screen) to jump directly to the USB settings?

2 USB tethering
In Lineage, I was able to switch on USB tethering via a tile in the drop-down menu. Under Graphene I cannot find such a tile in the quick settings panel. Does it not exist here? Do I really have to start the Settings app every time for USB tethering?

3 Standby via touch button
I use "3-button navigation" as System Navigation Mode. Under Lineage, I was able to configure one of the buttons so that a long press would switch the phone to standby mode. The button was on the far right, so when I put the phone down, I could conveniently switch it off with my thumb at the same time.
Under Graphene, I can't find any options for assigning the navigation buttons, not even for the side buttons (power, volume).

4 Volume for switching songs
Another question about the volume hard button: In Lineage, while listening to music and with the display switched off I was able to skip to the next or previous track by holding down the volume rocker. Can this also be done under Graphene? (short tap for volume up and down works)

brt The GrapheneOS project is focused on security and privacy. As a result, developer time for user interface enhancements is very limited.

Also, please note that the project's position on the 5 is:

Pixel 4a (5G), Pixel 5 and Pixel 5a are end-of-life and shouldn't be used anymore due to lack of security patches for firmware and drivers.

If you are enjoying GrapheneOS on the 5, it might be best to upgrade to a device for which it is possible for the project to issue releases with reasonable security.

Please note that I do not speak for the GrapheneOS project.

GOS is AOSP based. The LOS specific features are not implemented

AlphaElwedritsch thanks for the info and yes: i guessed so.
I was asking for workarounds and other user´s experiences. that is why i have tried to describe my ideas in as much detail as possible

brt for the volume buttons part, there's an app I use called key mapper, looking at the github now the developer has recently dropped it. It should still be fine for now, but does anyone know another?

        DEADCAT Thanks a lot!
Sounds a little bit complicated to be set up, but I will give it a try ...
