UserresU We, the users could donate specially for this project maybe on kickstarter or something like this.
The GOS devs don't do feature bounties to my knowledge, which is good since they know much better what's important and realistic compared to the average user like me.
I think it's also hard to compete against Google when it comes to secure hardware with a small team like this. As long as the Pixel devices meet the high standards, it's best to let them cook and focus on developing the most secure OS. And if Google decides to let go of their hardware production or exclude third party systems, we have 7 years to find a solution.
UserresU What is a bad advice from him for example?
Regarding youtubers, I'd say a dead giveaway is when they promote best practices without saying that this is a simplified approach or an easy fallacy. Like when they say "use product x" or "service y" to solve "broad problem z", as there are no simple solutions that work for everyone. Especially if they are in the business of selling solutions themselves (or are affiliated with vendors that provide solutions), it's a very big red flag.
For example: I'd avoid youtubers that sell phones but they don't use GrapheneOS. Or those who share affiliate links to services related to privacy and security. Even if they are good in my book (like e.g. ProtonVPN or Cake Wallet), the youtuber is now financially incentivized towards them and therefore compromised in giving unbiased recommendations.
