Pixel tablet for uni

Hi,
im thinking about buying a Pixel tablet for taking notes in university. Does anybody have experience using a Pixel device in that setting? Can you recommend any styluses/do they work reliably? Are there any apps you can use to annotate pdf files by hand?

Will respond later, as I don't know the brand of the stylus that I bought and the note taking app that I am using, but I can confirm that there are plenty of options both for the stylus and the note taking apps.

Not sure what part of the world you're in, but generally in the US/North America the 2 most popular options are:

the Lenovo USI Pen 2 stylus (you might be able to find this in electronic stores, or just order from Lenovo's website),
- Don't worry, I also have this stylus and it works, don't get scared off by the "Chromebook" labeling/marketing for this stylus; or
the Penovo USI 2.0 Chromebook stylus
- This is commonly bought via Amazon.

I personally don't take notes on my Pixel tablet in college/university classes, but here are some suggestions for handwriting note apps:

Saber
Linwood Butterfly, or simply "Butterfly" once it's installed on GrapheneOS/Android

Saber and Linwood Butterfly both appear to be consistently developed and are cross-platform and can optionally cloud sync your notes across multiple devices, though you'll need to double check to see if it's available for your platform and decide for yourself if you like how the optional cloud syncing is done.

Interesting. Uni means handwritten notes? I dont like them as they are not searchable. Dont know any note taking app that would overlay OCR text.

XODO pdf can do a lot of PDF editing, drawing etc. Works offline and is the least bad proprietary one.

Krita works well on Android, there are some issues but they can be worked around.

I found this review interesting by an artist. He uses Google Android (which has more custom Tablet stuff afaik) but still the drawing experience wasnt great.

Stuff like palm detection doesnt work so you might want one of these gloves.
