Android Auto required update notification

While using Android Auto this week, I've been receiving the following notification: "Update Android Auto, This will soon be required to use Android Auto."

I have tried to update through Google Play Store but it seems to fail without any error.

Will the version of Android Auto distributed through the GOS App Store be updated to resolve what might be an upcoming breaking change? I can't see why Google would send such a notification if it wasn't.

abdullah Unless I'm mistaken, you can only update Android Auto using GrapheneOS's App Store app.

abdullah I use Android Auto. I get that notification once in a while. Ignore it. Nothing ever breaks. It is always updated through the GrapheneOS App Store.
