Problems in wake the device by tapping on screen

Hi, I am using current beta. Unfortunately my device reacts often not on tapping on screen to wake it up. I mean, I am using GrapheneOS now for two years. Never had such issues. Only a reboot solves this problem for a while. Is this problem known already?

I think I got it. It has probably something to do how the device is switched off. I often do this via Nova launcher. This launcher needs special rights to do that. I will observe and post here

I'm having a similar problem on stable 2024091900 on a Pixel 7.

I don't know when it started, but I think it was within the last two updates.

I'm using the default GrapheneOS launcher.

Edit: Tap to check phone and Lift to check phone are both enabled in the Gestures menu.

Edit 2: Looks like a reboot solved it for me.
