You're likely using the DuckDuckGo "App Tracking Protection" feature based on the VPN feature. It has very strange behavior and was broken by the multicast leak protection added in our previous 2024091700 release. Turn it off and update to 2024091900 which reverted it until we resolve the compatibility issues. If that's not the issue you're having, we need a lot more details.
