Suggestions on installing?

The community has convinced me to give GrapheneOS a try on my Pixel 6. The problem is I can't find a way to install it. The only devices I have besides my phone is Amazon FireHD8 Tablet and a Samsung ChromeBook. I wanted to use my ChromeBook to install it, but I only have 19GB free space. I removed as much as I could, but wasn't enough.

I thought about using my work PC, running Windows(11 I think), but it is ancient, and I just realized it probably doesn't have enough HD space either, but I will try to check tomorrow. Alot of the windows features are disabled, as they try to restrict us to Office365 on the web only. So even if it has enough HD space, I don't know what kind of problems I might run in to.

I also called around to 3 computer fix it stores in my area, and none of them will install GrapheneOS on my phone. I'm not sure that I trust them to do it either.

My local library allows restricted desktop use, but you are not allowed to plug anything into it. It is internet only. Also, you are limited to only an hour, and I don't know how long it will take to install it, using the web installer.

I have no friends in which I can borrow a device capable of installing GrapheneOS on my phone.

Any other ideas on how I can get this installed?

If nothing else works, maybe buy a cheap, used Android device that has (or can get) Android 12+ and > 32 GB of storage. I'm guessing you could find something like that for around 50-100 USD.

Or maybe a cheap old laptop. People throw out perfectly usable old computers all the time (at least where I live).

Not ideal, but if you truly have no other options...

Probably9857 Actually, I still have my Pixel 2 in storage, just in case I drop and break my Pixel 6. If I have the available space, I could use it right?

EDIT: I got over excited. I just realized that I can't connect my new phone to my old phone via USB, right?

Why not? I've never installed from an Android device, so I may be mistaken, but how else would it work???

Probably9857 I'll fully charge my Pixel 2 and try to Web Install GrapheneOS onto my Pixel 6. I will let you know what happens tomorrow.

Probably9857 Prerequisites state Android 12 or higher. My Pixel 2 runs Android 11 and cannot be updated any further. Should I try anyway?

Unfortunately, it looks like Android 11 is the last supported version for Pixel 2.

There is said to be LineageOS support for newer Android versions, but then that is not officially supported by the web installer...

I would assume the GrapheneOS devs have pretty good idea of what Android versions will work with the web installer. If 11 would work, I think it would be listed.

I'd say your work PC is probably a better bet. The requirement for 32 GB of free storage isn't much, even for an old desktop.

Probably9857 I deleted all family users from our Chromebook, which put it at 33GB. Then I attempted to install GrapheneOS and it failed. Now my phone is in a reboot loop. Trying to get help in another thread.
