Unable to download certain files in Vanadium

I have been trying to download some podcast mp3 files from the Techdirt Ctrl-Alt-Speech RSS feed in Vanadium via the 3 dots menu on the media player.

Each time i try for any of the podcasts i have tried i immediately get a "download failed" notification and a ghost file similar to this. The notification has a "details" link which just takes you to the downloads section in Vanadium and provides no other information.

I am able to download the file using Firefox.

Any ideas as to why this might be happening or if it might be a bug in Vanadium?

Not sure why its happening, but I tested it and was able to download (and play) the mp3 file from "Blunder from Down Under" on my Pixel 7Pro. Try clearing Vanadium's cache and see if that makes a difference?

overstep I get the same error in Brave when trying to download it using the three-dot menu. Not sure how you were able to download it using Firefox; it doesn't show any three-dot menu for me. But as Dumdum wrote, after you start playing the audio then you can download it with Vanadium.

Well, I was able to download it without playing the audio, so I'm not sure that affects it. (I also didn't say anything about "after you start playing the audio", for the record)

If you long press on the media player you get a menu.
