yore Nobody's bashing anyone, we're just explaining why it works the way it does. It seems that a lot of people expect to be able to use this feature in a way that doesn't make it obvious to the other party that it's happening, when in reality, even if you aren't aware of GrapheneOS and this particular feature (i.e. a mugger in the street), it's going to be very obvious that you did something if the moment you enter a PIN/Password, your phone instantly shuts down, regardless of whether or not "Wrong PIN" shows. If whatever situation you find yourself in isn't resolved by the mere fact that the data is now erased, then the feature is likely not appropriate for that situation.
yore Anyhow, I haven't tried the duress feature for obvious reasons. How long does the wipe usually take?
It's pretty immediate. You can find a demo of it here:

What data is recoverable through forensics after the wipe?
No data should be recoverable after the wipe, the keys are wiped.
yore How does the duress wipe differentiate from a standard factory reset? Any difference in recoverable data?
If I'm not mistaken, factory resetting and duress wipe should both be just as secure.
