Citizen22 This would not be the best thing for filesystem integrity, but I think if you hold the power button down for a bit more than a minute then the power controller scrams the device off regardless of what the OS thinks should happen.

Note that in order for the regular power-off menu to be cheating you, your device would need to be infested by somebody very well-resourced.

Edit: it would probably be safer for the filesystem to reboot into the bootloader (real or -- hypothetically -- stimulated) and then scram the device off.

Citizen22 long press power button is a priviledged function that is part of the OS and can not be reassigned to another third party app that has accessibilty access. Although very unlikely to happen, this would mean that your OS integrity is somehow impaired which can be verified by running Auditor or checking the long hash on device restart.
