Auditor encounters error verifying attestation

I just received a brand new Pixel 7 Pro and the first thing I did was flashing it with Graphene OS.

The first time I did it, the hash shown on the installation page (Pixel 7 Pro: bc1c0dd95664604382bb888412026422742eb333071ea0b2d19036217d49182f) did not match what I saw when booting the device. Also when I tried the Auditor app, it showed an error.

So I was like ok, maybe something went wrong. I flashed it again, and this time it seemed to match the hash at the boot. I tried the auditor app again, but it still shows the

"Error encountered verifying attestation:
invalid verified boot key fingerprint: BC1C0DD95664604382BB888412026422742EB333071EA0B2D19036217D49182F"

As far as I can tell, that is the exact has from the installation page, yet it shows an error. I guess I should not go ahead and start using the system, but how can I make the audit succeed?

It's my second phone (the first one being a Pixel 6) on which I installed GOS on, and the first one passed the audit right away.

The hash matches. It's not case-sensitive. You should be fine.

What version of Auditor do you have? If you don't know, check the version number in the "Apps" app. You can try updating Auditor (although I believe it should be up to date since you just flashed it). Also, make sure your date and time are correct.

Are you doing local verification? If so, make sure Auditor is up to date on both phones and the date/time are correct.

I flashed it a few more times, and while the hash always matches, the auditor attestation always fails. But now I get a different error. It did say that the root certificate was wrong.

However it seems that it failed as the device did not have (yet) internet access. I tried the verification before I even setup Wifi/Sim connection. After connecting to the Wifi, the Auditor finally verified it.
