Unauthorized data upload with GraphenOS too?

A couple of days ago I did read an article about a system for earth quake warnings based on android phones. It uses the gyroskop sensor's data. In case some thousands of devices show similar data its probably an earthquake. Does GrapheneOS deliver this data as well? I do not like this and would like to switch it off if possible. I live in Germany and we had a test alarm at 11:00 today. I was talking to friend on the phone at the time and had
this very intrusive alarm ringing tone while talking. Is there a way to disable this?

I use a Pixel 5 with the latest update.

According to the article, devices with the MyShake app provide data to the detection system, so if you have not installed the app then your device is not providing data.

FYI, according to the GrapheneOS project:

Pixel 4a (5G), Pixel 5 and Pixel 5a are end-of-life and shouldn't be used anymore due to lack of security patches for firmware and drivers.

Is this some regional thing? I just have emergency alerts there, which is unrelated.

rosenkohltutwohl 99% sure that it is overwritten if its a cell broadcast , as long as you are no special forces on a mission why would you disable these in the first place? Sure it would be nice to mute them but who cares. This is not some spam SMS. On the other side, I also come from Germany security measure only happen after people have died so this is just lame politics at play.
