When approving an authentication request (from my computer) on Microsoft Authenticator, I see always see "location: unavailable". As I understand, the location displayed on Microsoft Authenticator is be inferred from the public IP address of the device from which the authentication request was made. Hence, I WANT to see the location because I want to know what data was collected through the authentication request. From a security perspective, this is critical to know that you (rather than someone in another country) were the one who made the request. At first, I figured Microsoft Authenticator used Google Play Services to look up the location associated with the IP address; however, even with Google Services Framework and Google Play Services installed, I still see "location: unavailable" when approving authentication requests. Any idea how to fix this?
