I want to back up a folder in the Android/data/ folder which corresponds to an app I have installed, by using the stock file explorer, when I compress it, it takes a while and when finished, it says it failed but an (incomplete) zip file was still generated, copying over to an attached USB stick seemed to do the same.
I tried again with Material Files, a third party file explorer that I trusted, and it did not have access to the Android/data/foo folder (even after granting full storage access, not just storage scopes), which is good for securing sensitive data now that I look back on it.
But how could I manually back up the directory? The built in GOS file explorer has access to it, as well as the subdirectories and files contained within, yet it doesn't seem to actually copy/compress everything inside.
