Exploit protections may be harming Signal notifications

Hi, I had problems with Signal notifications for a while now. The notifications would allways be delayed for about 2 minutes. I have now enabled "Exploit protection compatibility mode" and it seems to have fixed the issue. Have any of you had the same problem? And is there anything else i could do? I would rather keep the exploit protections enabled.

(Battery optimisation is unrestricted for Signal)

Nothing to do with exploit protection, either install Play Services for GMS or use Molly with UnifiedPush.
The Signal implementation of notification without Play sucks, and it's been a known issue for a while.

23Sha-ger Signal's push works fine, Molly does the same thing and just removes an unnecessary part which makes it drain a lot more battery for Signal itself.

I read some threads, nothing mentioned as fixed in Molly specifically, at least the most prominent issue.

Langis, a Signal fork, seems to have fixed something.

For me, Molly-FOSS is at 11%, with the Camera (!) topping it with 14% (used it for a short time??) And Syncthing taking 24% poorly.

I got molly foss and notifications are alike a miracle to be seen. They seem working fine only when the device is in use with screen on. Otherwise calls never ring, only a missed notification upon opening that specific conversation, of course battery for molly is unrestricted as well as data. Molly is always in the active apps list, as well as the notification that it is ready to receive messages. Recently it changed from molly to WebSocket Service. Regardless notifications are not prompted if the device is locked.

Strange that you are a having problem, I recall using signal without google play services and it worked fine. I now use molly, downloaded from Accrescent, Works excellent. I ended up installing sandboxed google play services anyhow, because other apps require it or work better. I am logged in with an anonym account.
