Contact name not showing when receiving calls

Hi, I'm a new user, installed graphene os on my pixel 6a about a month ago.

The problem I'm having is that when I receive a call the caller info shows only the phone number, even if the phone is registered in my contacts, which is a headache since I don't know who the person calling me is when I should, not very good for work.

I'm guessing here that it may have something to do with the code areas.
All contacts were imported and they are written for whatsapp +(country code)(area code)(actual number), I'm from Argentina, Buenos Aires, so +(54)(911)(55555555) would be an example.
When I call someone the phone registers the name correctly, but when receiving it shows (11)(55555555) following the example above.

So, is there an easy way to solve this? I tried using other contact app but it doesn't seem to work (didn't try google's thou). Hopefully, a way that doesn't involve manually re-formatting all my contacts since I still use whatsapp with graphene installed.

Is the area code 11 or 911? If the carrier believes the area code is 11, and is sending that, I guess I'm not surprised if the Phone app isn't inserting a 9 in the middle of the number before doing the database lookup.

I am not an expert on the Argentinean phone system, but here is something I found online about the 9 (source):

Receiving calls from abroad
Since 2003, the digit 9 had to be dialed when calling CPP mobile phone numbers in Argentina from abroad:

+54 9 11 xxxx xxxx (Note that the 15 prefix should not be dialed from outside Argentina)

Phone calls from abroad to a land line (or non-CPP mobile phone), however, are dialed "normally." For example:

+54 11 xxxx xxxx

If that is right, it's not clear that WhatsApp's format is right. Again, though, I am not an expert on this topic!

I don't have much experience with country codes other than +1, but I would think that shouldn't hinder caller ID otherwise millions of users would have the same issue.

Instead, I suggest verifying your app permissions. Your phone app needs permission to access Contacts and Call logs, at minimum, in order to work properly.

I would also assume it's a permission issue.
I have saved numbers with and without the county code - all shown as supposed to be

Phone has the following permissions given:
Call logs, contacts, microphone, network, notifications, phone, sensors and SMS

Contacts had the following permissions given:
Call logs, contacts, notifications, phone, sensors and SMS

I just gave it network permission to see if there's a change.

Unfortunately the problem persists, I thought it was solved because the phone identified those I had called first for some reason, but as soon as I got a call from someone in my contacts I hadn't called since I installed Graphene, it just displayed the number and not the contact entry.

This is quite annoying.

So to try this I'd have to change the numbers by removing the 9?
In Argentina the nine indicates that the phone you're calling is a cellphone, I don't know if it changed but since over 10 years including the 9 was the surefire way of having whatsapp recognize a phone number.

I'll try adding a new phone without the 9 to check if there are any changes.

I also just installed google contacts to try that route too, thou I'd prefer not having to use any google apps, specially those that don't work without google services.

Maybe this info can help you:

To call Buenos Aires from outside the country, you must dial the country code (54) followed by the city code (11) before the eight-digit number. If you are calling Buenos Aires from within Argentina, you must dial the city code (011) before the eight-digit number.

It seems the '9' is not relevant anymore.
