Sync contacts from nextcloud

Hi,

I’m a brand new GOS user, bought a pixel 7a last week just to evaluate GOS, I want to switch from iOS but I don’t want a stock android.

So i am hosting my own Nextcloud, have set up the contacts app there so I can sync my contacts between phones and have them accessible from the computer.

But I can’t find a way to subscribe to my list from the stock app nor can any of the apps I tried from F-droid do that.

Is there any app out the where I can sync the contacts with my Nextcloud server?

mutate5240 back when I used to sync my contacts using Nextcloud, I used this app: https://github.com/bitfireAT/davx5-ose. If I recall correctly, you can set everything up or kick off the setup in the Nextcloud app's settings.

other8026 What do you use now? I'm also looking for a way to have contacts synced between profiles but don't want to commit to Nextcloud.

Elsewhere3987 I don't use anything now. I don't use sms or place phone calls all that often anyway. I mostly use Signal or other messaging apps.

DAVx5 is the best you can use
and basically the only thing you can take
Also for calendars in combination with ICSx5 if you want to subscribe calendars or shared calendars
