Hi,
I'm trying to understand how apps can work across user profiles. I have a number of proprietary apps installed in a seperate user profile that has sandboxed Google Play installed. If I try to install some of these apps in the work area of my main user profile (e.g. banking apps, transport apps), the install fails whether from Aurora Store, Play, or apk. The apps appear to know about their installations on the other profile.
At the same time, I can install and use these apps on another phone with no problems. Addiytionally, oif I go to App Info in Settings, I can see all these apps that are installed on the other profile, albeit labelled with "not installed for this user".
So can anyone explain what's going on? Are the apps detecting themselves across the profiles? Or are they following instructions from their servers not to allow two installations on the same device?
