Vanadium can't connect to many sites/ Claming connectivity issues

Idealist2382 are you using a VPN? If yes, which one?
Check for private DNS in Vanadium -> 3 dot menu -> Settings -> Privacy and Security -> Use Secure DNS -> toggle should be "On" and "Use your current service provider" (first option) selected. Is it any different?

Also, check your phone settings -> Network & Internet -> Private DNS (should be set to "automatic"). Is it?

Does this issue still exist for anyone? I experience this rarely but somehow it happens when I really need a stable connection. Chromite works fine, mullvad is connected, newpipe as well. It really makes me avoid vanadium. Today was browsing instructions in the process of replacing updating setting up a new access point and suddenly vanadium stopped loading pages complaining on no internet or err could not be resolved. Same exact links worked flawless in cromite.

Are tips from above quoted post helpful? Mullvad's site blames those settings for dns leaks, can someone from graphene team clarify this please?

I've just suddenly got this problem. I've been experimenting with different search engines and this process went a bit janky several times and now vanadium can't connect to the internet. On a pixel 8, only in the main profile, it's fine in private space. All other internet using apps work fine including brave.

I have tried clearing cache, data, rebooting the machine. Id like to uninstall and reinstall app but I don't see how I do that. I've also checked all the suggestions above.

subwoofer I get this when RethinkDNS blocks a site. Then if I allow it, it usually works.
Are you using a Vpn?

Yes. I also tried switching servers but felt that was a bit of a long shot. Same problem even with VPN switched off

Try with all VPNs disabled or even uninstalled. It might not be allowing traffic until it is connected. And When it is connected, it might block or have issues.

If that still doesnt work, try on your sim data or another WiFi.

I tried all of that except the alternative data connection, I only have one available right now, a hotspot from an iPhone.

To clarify, by disabled, I meant when you see the app's info and next to uninstall your vpn app is disable the app. Do this to any app that offers ad blocking, dns, or vpn

Yep tried everything I can think of, now including a different network with vpns uninstalled.

I must confess I can't really understand how anything can be blocking vanadium and not brave unless it is specifically set to do so or there's something wrong with vanadium.

I just noticed there is a new version of vanadium released today so perhaps that will fix it.

I must admit though I actually prefer using brave. It was my browser of choice before becoming a graphene os user and it is with gritted discipline that I continue to use vanadium - mostly because brave is so good at blocking the darned perpetual cookie pop-ups.

The update didn't fix the problem, which makes it look more like a config issue of some kind. I don't know what else to try though. I'm enjoying my pop up free brave time but don't feel inclined to use it on site which require top security.
It's not too big of a deal for me because I have a two device system and it's the daily driver which has this issue rather than my "secure" device. Maybe it's even good steering me towards a more disciplined approach.

Novaliss I haven't used rethinkdns before but if I switch it on, goto vanadium and type in a URL, it doesn't go to the site and there is nothing in the log afterwards.

Novaliss yes rethink was set as the VPN. I tried reset app preferences, I couldn't find reset app data. Still nothing.

Novaliss and I've reset the WiFi and Bluetooth. At this point I think it's broken 😆. I'm not using the Sims for data so I don't see how that would be affecting anything

subwoofer well, you could do good backups and just factory reset GrapheneOS. Something is causing this and it sure isn't normal.

Have Adb, Shizuku, tweakUI, or Developer options been in use at any time?
Is your device auto-updated?

sorry just seen this post, I haven't used any of those things I'm thinking a device reset is the only cure too, although, I'm quite happy not using vanadium I am concerned that there is something "wrong" with my operating system.

Novaliss it was the only browser when the problem occured. Now the default is brave but it makes no difference if I set it to vanadium.
