We can't edit 5 minutes after posting on this forum. It's a bit annoying when I make a mistake that I notice after 5 minutes and can create misunderstandings.
Admin, can you change this and perhaps add edit history to reduce trolls?

spam posters have abused the edit function to make innocuous seeming posts and then switch them to spam. the edit timer has helped mitigate this greatly. i believe there has been some discussion of extending the edit period beyond the current 3 minutes but for now it remains.
yore Ideally, everyone would be able to edit their posts after a longer amount of time, but like itsjpb said, editing can be abused.
It doesn't look like Flarum supports edit history, so one of this site's admins would have to add an extension to support that. Unless there's a well written extension maintained by an active developer, I don't think such an extension would be added.
