Can't use internet while on mobile hotspot via VPN

Hi guys! I have a strange issue when trying to use internet while on mobile hotspot. I share internet via iPhone with T-Mobile sim. When trying to connect with mullvad on, the connection is established but no internet appears. Switching off resolves the issue, but I won't use it like that) Any way to solve it?

I connect to the internet via a SoLo hot spot and I use Proton VPN. I am not having any issues. I know that there have been some issues with some vpns according to recent reports I have seen from the Graphene OS team. Take a look at the reports on the last few releases, you should find something there relating to vpn issues. It should be working though.
