User Profile is automatically ending session

I have about 6 user profiles.

Owner
Personal
Work
Others

Owner is empty.
Personal and Work I want active all the time and forwarding notifications. Others only need to be active while I'm using them. I normally click End Session when switching back.

The problem I'm having is that if I switch to one of the Other profiles and then back to Personal/Work then my Personal/Work profile is sent back to rest (restarted). I need to go back to both after using Other to make sure that I don't miss my notifications.

I'm not entirely sure why. Is this expected behaviour? Is there a maximum number of users able to be active at once?
I'm on Pixel 7

Yes. I read somewhere that the number is set to 3 allowed to be active at once. Not sure if that number includes owner or not, but I think so.

3(excluding owner) would make sense as I wasn't seeing it all of the time. I'll just have to remember to close the Other profiles every time.

Taking a guess here but that could be because AOSP has a max of 4 profiles (owner + 3 others).

Do you know if there's a way to see which profiles are active? I couldn't find one, but that's probably expected. The profiles active state could be considered sensitive.

There's a way in UserManager, but I'm guessing only owner can see that.
