Hello!
Some apps (banking for example) ask me to allow "Phone" permission and do not want to start without.
Which identificators could collect apps with this permission?
Thank you!
Phone Permission
Phone — access your phone number and network info.
I never quite understood why some apps need it, but my assumption is that it's just a safety and anti-fraud test
to make sure you are from a whitelisted device, i.e. not on an emulator.
About Phone -> Phone number -- Unavailable.
Does it mean that app with PHONE permission will not get it?
network info
But...each app without permissions could get country, mobile operator name and id, local IP of mobile internet (unique and could be recorded by mobile operator in their database).
23Sha-ger I wonder if this would be worth spoofing. It would only work with real data not null returns because apps probably won't work with that either. Maybe worth a shot anyway.
kirillan10 yeah I had this issue with an online only bank. I closed the account soon after opening and went with an alternative. Seems too intrusive to me...
Strangely the app prompted me to give Google Play access to phone and SMS. Not the banking app itself...
