Hallo, do you think that could work? I buy a refurbished Pixel 7 or 8 and put Graphene OS on it? I dont know much about all that, I can of course follow an detaild description, but I don´t have any background skills. Is ist that easy:
Buy a phone, download Graphen OS and transfer the datas from the old Huawei? Ist this possible for someone like me or woud you rather say: stopp! What misstakes could happen? What should I think of before?

Yep, follow the guide on the grapheneOS website and go ahead. Its easy for anyone to do. Putting the data from your old phone on to your new one maybe a bigger challenge.

The bought a Pixel 6a 18 months ago, second hand and decided to install GrapheneOS,
It was a monumental decision for me, never having flashed a phone.

I started at the top of the installation page and followed the instructions, literally word for word and on the first attempt, I had flashed GrapheneOS.

Transferring data from your old phone with give you the bigger problem, as stated already.

Thank you both for your answers. Did you regret your decision to switch to graphenOS or are you happy with your decision? And how did you get your datas transfered? And last question: wich pixel ist best to last long time but not have unneccessary much and expensive features for someone like me?
