Apps are not working in work profile

I just got a pixel 6 the other day and after setting up shelter and sandboxed google play store I cant seem to get most apps to work.

The two trouble makers are waze and google camera.

Waze: Launches then goes unresponsive when log in with smart lock appears.

Google camera: Immediately closes after launching with no "google camera isn't responding" wait or close prompt.

Strangely these app are both working on my pixel 3a just fine.

I have tried clearing cache and giving all permissions. I also tried removing and reinstalling shelter and all apps/play services.

Anyone using these apps or experiencing the same issues? Short of resetting the phone I do not know what to do...

user123 you will need to install the Play Services in your work profile per the instructions given by alfred , GCam should be trivial to get working as mentioned it only needs GSF.

Waze unfortunately has a memory corruption issue and won't work on a Pixel 6 on GOS, the issue is upstream and not a GOS issue even if it's the OS that found the issue it is intentional and part of the feature set for your protection.

Do you know if the Play Services were installed in the Shelter profile? In Shelter you should be able to copy the Apps app to the work profile and then install the GSF and GPS.

Think gcam just needs GSF(Google Services Framework). I am not sure if Waze needs either of those.

Play services are installed in shelter. Still not sure why gcam is crashing.

Good to know about the issue with waze hope that gets sorted at some point in the future, in the meantime I'll keep my old phone to use for waze.

Arnauld Not now that we have notification forwarding. Most people used work profiles to allow notifications etc to be available in the owner with an element of isolation.

Waze works if you go to Settings, Apps, Waze and then turn on "Exploit protection compatibility mode"

If WAZE is problematic, what maps app should I use/on my pixel w graphen? Do. Need to turn off my VPN?

d9780 Keep in mind that you can use Waze if you want.

All you have to do is go to Settings > Apps > Waze and enable the "Exploit Protection Compatibility Mode" toggle for it.

If you want alternative, you can try Google Maps, Magic Earth or Organic Maps.

Thanks. I'm curious if am giving up some anonymity by keeping my mock location off. I have always used it in the past so I wondered how WAZ knew where I was, then I realised mock location was off .

Does Graphene wask my location such that I can leave Mock Location off on my VPN?
