installing Android Auto

I have been running GOS for around 6-8 months. I have the required Google Sandboxed Play Services installed as per the instructions. My OS has been updating properly as far as I can tell.
I recently got a new car head unit and want to make use of Android Auto but it will not install. Some of the early attempts were certainly user error as I found recently that I need to install the app through the GrapheneOS App store. Looking into this today I see that there is a newer version of App store (version 24) that changes the name from Settings | "Apps" to Settings | "App Store." My phone still shows "Apps" so I tried to figure out how to manually install the latest version (so I could then attempt to install Android Auto) but was unsuccessful.
So I really have two questions. How do I update the App Store if it is not happening during the usual update procedure? And am I missing something about how to successfully install Android Auto?
I know this is a bit of a ramble. I'm a newbie on the forum and will try to get better with my questions.

It sounds like you're not looking at the right thing. You're supposed to be looking at the actual app, not the "Apps" list in the Settings. Open the App Store from the app drawer (slide up from the bottom of the home screen) and then follow the official instructions for Android Auto. As for updating the apps, the OS should already be updating them unless you've messed with the settings/system components to prevent updating.

Well, you are of course correct. I was looking in the wrong place. I seldom use the app drawer. Installed Android Auto and will configure later this evening.
