Proton VPN battery drain

Hi all,

Anyone else getting high battery drain with Proton VPN?

Always showing at the top of the battery usage list by a long shot on the % when comparing other apps.

Coming from Mullvad where it did not seem to do this issue?

New to proton vpn and its noticeably hammering my battery.

Are you using OpenVPN or Wireguard?

Shows 18% for me for 1 day, 8 hours. Second to Molly FOSS.

tango I was using OpenVPN but i've swapped to Wireguard to see if it makes any difference. Never noticed this issue on Mullvad.

You should definitely see a difference using Wireguard. OpenVPN has hundreds of thousands lines of code compared to a few thousand with Wireguard.
