Google connection fail altogether (play store, maps, ...)

Hi,

Just landed here.
I'm using GOS on a pixel 6 for almost 2 years by now and I am very happy!
I was using Gsoogles Play Store, Gboard, Pixel Camera and Maps(navigation) right from the beginning on since no alternative that's gets even close.
Since the last GOS update play store is not able to update or show any new apps.
Nonetheless, it shows me all the available updates but fails when I try to run the update.
Same on Maps, I can see the map but no search, navigation, or POIs are possible.
Seems my devices is almost completely but not fully cut off.

Has anybody seen similar issues right after the las GIS Update (2024071600)?

Anybody an hint on how to resolve it?

ToLa Is this true on both Wi-Fi and cellular data? If a VPN is used, does turning it off make a difference? Is a private DNS server configured?

Cool thanks for the turbo fast anwer. You nailed it right away on mobile data it works just fine!

But when going through my local router it's blocked.
And I know already why... I set up a filter for the kids and I tuned it on for me to test it and despite disabling it again its back on for me too. As stupid as this!

Short follow up on this topic.
Background is that parental control filter in a AVM fitz.box DSL router was set-up to block YouTube following this guide here:
https://en.avm.de/service/knowledge-base/dok/FRITZ-Box-7590/3344_Blocking-YouTube-in-the-FRITZ-Box-parental-controls/

Besides several domains in the block list there is recommended to block also
"googleapis.com"

This is the one domain that causes failing of play store maps ect on my GOS.
However, the regular Pixels in the network were all fine.

This may help some others to fix it.
I will not infor AVM since they likely will not place any info just for GOS users.
