Encrypted USB for file transfer between Linux Desktop and GOS

I would like to transfer files from Linux desktop to GOS and have them accessed by GOS and encrypted while at rest.

What formatting should I use for the drive?

Can I use LUKS with GOS? Is there some other way to do this efficiently and with ease?

I dont entirely understand what formats are accepted or what programs could help with this.

I want to use a USB drive solution without tethering both devices and risk identifiers being passed between malicious tracking programs. I am guessimg it's less likely to happen via USB drive.

notahuman You could try Cryptomator for this. Keep in mind the Android version is paid, however.

You could create a local vault and use a USB drive to pass it between your computer and phone.
