Spotify keeps screen active

Hello.

Spotify, while playing music or not, keeps the screen active when the app is in the foreground and does not turn the screen off automatically.

There is an option in the settings to keep the screen active when the device is connected to a car, but that setting is off and i don't use the google car app or a similar app.

No Google Apps are installed on the device.

Anyone had this issue before and knows how to fix it?

It has the "prevent device from sleeping" permission which I don't think you can do anything about unless the app itself provides the ability to turn it off (if its possible for apps to have a setting like that).

pelican Spotify here on Pixel 7 with GOS screen locks as usual. Could not find any option to control the behaviour of the screen.
