Github: which *.apk Format?

Since using F-droid as app store, I have to update via Github sometimes.
There I find too many different .apk formats.
Which version is the right one for my Pixel 6a?

What app? We'd need to see the APK formats to be able to tell you which one is correct.

Ultimately, you're looking for the arm64-v8a architecture, so depending on whether you want the full app or the FOSS version, the APK to install is either:
image-toolbox-2.9.0-arm64-v8a.apk
image-toolbox-2.9.0-foss-arm64-v8a.apk

Dumdum You proposed that app and I installed it via F-droid. However, it wasn't the latest version. A message popped up for an update, linked to Github.

My question is kind of general. Is the arm64 architecture always right to install also for other app updates from Github?

Strange, Fdroid has stopped on 2.8.1 for some reason. If you want to use Fdroid to update the app, you can enable the Izzyondroid repo in Fdroid's settings which has the correct version.

Yes. Android uses arm64-v8a.

for installing apps from github I use Obtanium so I dont have to check manually for updates. Obtanium does that automatically :-)

as for image toolbox I installed this apk image-toolbox-2.9.0-arm64-v8a.apk on my pixel 7

Dumdum Thank you! I added Izzyondroid now.
I'm amazed btw how different my perspective on android is now with GOS. It's a new game and I like it.
Also I learned to use other apps that are not tracking and advertising.
New installed apps are often much better than the "usual suspects".
