My Pixel 5 GOS randomly rebooted and the lock screen keyboard is not showing.

"Password is required after device restarts"

The reboot occurs quite frequently but I always ignored it and I can login as usual, this time the keyboard doesn't popup no matter how I try. Hardware keyboard doesn't accept input, safe mode does nothing.

Thankfully I do not have much important data not backed up yet or else I will be mad but still any solutions? Else I would need to go the bank and reset my link device and set it up again.

This is also the only device that keeps rebooting randomly such as while using maps while driving. I used iPhone 4s, 6s, X, OG Pixel and Xiaomi phones before this and none had ever randomly reboot as frequent as this Pixel.

If there's no solution, I will switch away from GrapheneOS for now as I care more about my data loss than privacy.

I am sorry to hear that your keyboard is not showing on boot screen. Without more information, that's hard to diagnose but I must say that that is not a known GrapheneOS issue, and it sounds more like a specific issue with your device.

Likewise, random rebooting is not a good sign: that could be indicative of a hardware issue with your device. It might be prudent to pay attention to the reason for the rebooting.

Note that the Pixel 5 is end of life, and extended support releases are intended only to give you a little time to migrate to a new device. Unfortunately the Pixel 5 received only 3 years of security updates from Google. Things have significantly improved since then however; the Pixel 8 receives 7 years of security updates, of which more than 6 years are still remaining.

It might be a good time to replace your phone.
