How to play Spotify in car through usb-c

I cannot get Spotify to play in my VW through a USB-C cable, but it will play through Bluetooth. I have a Google Pixel 6a with GrapheneOS installed. I tried installing Android Auto and playing with that, but it won't work either.

I am able to play audiobooks through the Voice app I installed from f-droid through the USB-C connection, so I think the cable and connection is ok. The issue is just with Spotify.

My goal is to play Spotify in my car through USB-C connection and no longer use Bluetooth. I would prefer not to use Android Auto but will if I have to.

Does your car have a AUX connection? Maybe you can use a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter? I am also interested in this to avoid broadcast my phone's bluetooth MAC address everywhere I drive. There are adapters that can enable charging att the same time as playing, with an USB-C input port on the adapter. It would be neat if t´it also enables receiving phone calls, and also if there is no audio distortion eminating from the switching power supply in the charger.

TrustExecutor My car does not have an AUX connection. It only has 2 USB-C ports. The phone charges well through the USB-C.

I also have a 6a phone and trying to use modded spotify (xmanager) on a guest account with android auto. Only way it works for me is when I actually play the music through my phone via usb and AA. It won't show up on my cars android auto screen because you probably are going to have to enable developer mode in Android Auto settings and allow "unknown sources". The problem is we can not enable developer mode in the guest account. Only in the main account - which I was told is not a good idea.
