Question About Installing GrapheneOS on Pixel 2 XL

Hello everyone, I noticed on the website, in the list of previously supported phones, specifically under the section "Which devices did GrapheneOS support in the past?", that the Pixel 2 XL is listed.

Does this mean that GrapheneOS cannot be installed on this device using the web installer? Or is it still possible to install it, but the software is no longer updated?

Correct. Or at all in any way that would still be GrapheneOS.

No. When older devices stop receiving firmware updates they are no longer secure and GrapheneOS is forced to stop supporting them as well. So older versions of GrapheneOS are not secure and and therefore not available.

But if you're unable to get a newer device (or just want to have your P2XL as a secondary device) then the least bad choice is DivestOS which releases mitigating security patches each month (it should still not be regarded as secure).
