Hey team,
I am trying to make the Voi e-scooter app work but somehow no configuration I offer it works successfully. This sucks because I have to rely on my old phone for this one stupid but important app.
So far, this is how I tried to run it:
All Google services: Installed and signed in
Source of Voi app: Google Play Store, Aurora (both tested one at a time)
Permissions: Network, SMS and Sensors permission granted to both Google services and Voi(+location)
Phone and SMS: Activated
Problem: No SMS gets sent to any phone no. by the Voi app. All other apps (banking, e-scooter, taxi) manage to do it but this one.
Before you say that the problem is with the app itself, it gets weirder.
All Google services: Not installed
Source of Voi app: Aurora Store, apkpure
Permissions: Network, Sensors and Location permission granted to Voi
Phone and SMS: Activated
Problem: SMS gets sent to the SIM card inserted in the same phone but not to an external SIM in another phone. The app is activated with the latter but cannot zero-in on the location and show available scooters
- Owner profile
Same as Secondary profile 2
and ofc,
Phone: Pixel 8 Pro with fresh Graphene OS installed immediately after unpacking last week
I have already tried the solutions here https://discuss.grapheneos.org/d/8330-app-compatibility-with-grapheneos and in some other related posts. I cannot confirm if this app would not have problems location my position or its own scooters in the map if it is indeed activated successfully in the Secondary Profile 1. I'd like to emphasize that this is the only app that has such problems, all other emobility apps send verification codes successfully and complain clearly if they need Google Play Services for their map layouts.
Any ideas?
